Threat Intel is now ThreatDNS

Our free lookup tool has its own home at threatdns.com. Same sources, same AI analyst, same DNSAFE sign-in and daily limits.

  • NEWShareable report links, like threatdns.com/domain/example.com (email checks are never put in links)
  • NEWEvery report shows whether DNSAFE blocks the domain
  • NEWClick any IP, nameserver or mail server in a report to check it next, and copy a plain-text summary for tickets or chat
  • NEWPaste a whole log line or a defanged link and ThreatDNS pulls out what to check; press / to search, or add the “Check on ThreatDNS” bookmarklet
  • IMPROVEDEmail checks separate “this address leaked in a breach” from “this domain is dangerous”, so a breached address is never called suspicious
  • IMPROVEDOld intel.dnsafe.net links take you to the same check on ThreatDNS

When your internet IP changes, DNSAFE keeps up

Home and office connections whose address changes from time to time no longer drop out of protection for long: change it in one click, let it update itself, and always be able to reach the portal to fix it.

  • NEWChange IP: update a business network’s IP or a home connection in place, keeping its name, rules, profile and schedules
  • NEWAuto-update links: a private link that keeps a changing IP up to date from your router’s Dynamic DNS setting, an always-on PC or a Mac, with the last update shown in the portal
  • NEW“Did your IP change?”: when you open the portal from a new address, it offers to switch your network to it in one click
  • IMPROVEDIf your IP changes before you update it, dnsafe.net, the portals and sign-in still load on that network, so you’re never locked out of fixing it

Protection on any network, and a block page that works on HTTPS

Phones and laptops stay protected away from home or the office, blocked HTTPS sites can show the DNSAFE block page instead of a security warning, and encrypted DNS now runs in three regions. See what’s next on the roadmap.
